The People Team at Quotient Sciences have been on an 18-month journey of condensed and successful alignment, improvement and automation in both the UK and the US. We are looking for someone to take our team to the next steps of global alignment, system optimisation and business support.

Responsible for all elements of the colleague lifecycle ensuring all elements are run compliantly, efficiently and focused on colleague experience. Play a key role in driving proactivity, continuous improvement and effectiveness across all People processes, policies, and operations to support the broader People strategy and decision making across the business.

Lead a team that deliver day to day people operations activity, are responsible for delivering business people reporting, optimising our HRIS (Dayforce) and managing maintenance of our benefits and reward frameworks.

Main tasks and responsibilities
- Lead and coach the People Services team to provide excellence in customer service for our colleagues and stakeholders.
- Own our people processes, policies and operations ensuring all elements are run compliantly, efficiently and focused on colleague experience.
- Fully understand the reason for colleague and manager queries, to build colleagues capability in driving self service.
- To act as an escalation point and manage queries where People Services team members need additional support.
- Develop new operational policies, procedures, guidelines and ways of working to build the people operations toolkit.
- Own relevant third party service relationships, ensuring optimised service provision.
- Ensure all people policies are in line with the changing business needs whilst meeting legislative guidelines.
- To develop a culture which supports outstanding customer service, continuous improvement, quality, high employee engagement, high team performance and collaboration whilst also maintaining an element of fun.
- Minimise / eliminate the practice of ‘making exceptions’ to derisk and ensure the team is focusing on the value-add work.
- To lead the adoption of change and to train colleagues on new processes to improve capability as the maturity and service offering from People Services expands.
- Support Reward and Payroll processes, leading the annual salary review and bonus cycles.
- Co-ordinate the delivery of business people reporting activity.
- Oversee the optimisation of and approve the prioritisation plans for our HRIS (Dayforce).
- Oversee the management of our benefits and reward data frameworks.
- Create a knowledge base for the entire People Service processes that can be used by all to understand and effectively navigate through those processes
- Support the audit process within service ensuring data is readily available when requested, up to date and accurate and that compliance reports validate this

Qualifications and experience required for competent performance
- You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience within HR and evidence of continuous professional development)
- Have experience of creating and managing People operational processes and payroll management in the UK and US
- Proven experience of HRIS management (preferably Dayforce) and system optimisation post implementation
- Experience of leading a team and working knowledge of stakeholder management and reporting tools
- Knowledge of general business data needs and understanding of different audience requirements
- Strong operational knowledge of GDPR and data privacy requirements within the US and UK
- Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching and influencing skills (in order to effect change)
- Strong organisational, problem solving and follow up skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks while remaining operationally responsive and prioritise effectively
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience of delivering successful people team projects
- Proficient in building meaningful relationships with key people in the business area and with other teams within the organisation.
