**Senior Transport Officer - Public Transport Information**

Our Public Transport Team is part of the Public and Integrated Transport service of the county council. The team is responsible for contracted bus service provision and development, information, interchanges and bus stations, concessionary travel and rail developments working with varying partners. This is an exciting time to join Lancashire County Council as HM Government and the Department for Transport have increased support for public transport measures, including passenger information.

**The role**:
We pride ourselves on delivering the best services we can, and we are now looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Senior Transport Officer, responsible for Public Transport Information, following the retirement of the current post holder.
Based in Preston but also working flexibly we are looking for a person who has worked in a public transport, or similar, environment, has experience of promoting public transport and ideally has a geographical knowledge of Lancashire districts and the transport networks. Excellent information technology and communication skills are a key requirement together with the ability to establish good working relationships between both internal and external stakeholders.

**Key Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:
- To manage the effective production and distribution of public transport information in Lancashire.
- To lead and manage the small public transport information team within the wider bus services team.
- To assist with the development of new ways of promoting public transport throughout Lancashire as part of our Bus Service Improvement Plan.
- To regularly communicate with colleagues in the Public Transport Team and wider colleagues on all public transport matters, providing up to date relevant information when requested.
