An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as an Logistics Co-Ordinator at Fylde Fresh and Fabulous LTD, established in 2005. We are one of the UKs leading potato growing and processing businesses and we recently acquired an additional site to further strengthen our position in the market. This is a great time to join this growing and ambitious business.
Job Summary:
The Logistics Co-Ordinator will be responsible for the day to day administration duties of the Transport Department, providing effective management support. The role will be the first point of contact for the Transport Department and will ensure efficient use of labour and equipment to meet production and delivery requirements.
The Logistics Co-Ordinator is responsible for the smooth running of the Logistics Department across 7 days with an element of shared on call and will be required to highlight any issues surrounding the organization, its smooth operation and assist with suggestions for improvements.
**Duties**:
- To manage all drivers, to include retaining and recruiting, ensure HGV Drivers are communicated with effectively
- Oversee vehicle and driver compliance regarding servicing and tacho downloads.
- To manage the daily plan for sites in the most cost-effective manner
- To issue daily service level reports
- To work with 3rd party hauliers as required, ensuring they are utilised efficiently
- To be responsible for checking orders daily and finalising the next day’s plan, ensuring adequate resource is available
- To be responsible for data input, and daily checking of stocks and dolav management
- Attend fortnightly meetings with Transport Manager
**Skills**:
- Strong IT skills e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Previous experience in planning routes.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
- Strong leadership skills.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
