As the Therapy Technical Instructor for the Adult Macmillan Cancer Centre therapy service, you will be responsible for providing both clinical and administrative support to Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy staff.

The successful post-holder will work without direct supervision, with patients with a wide variety of cancer diagnoses, undertaking tasks delegated by the qualified therapists (such as exercise programmes and activities).

We are looking for someone who shows initiative, motivation and excellent organisational ability and is flexible in their approach to work, respects people’s individuality, values, cultural and religious diversity.
- The post-holder is responsible for both clinical and administrative support to qualified staff.
- The post-holder works without direct supervision, within the Cancer Centre, undertaking tasks delegated by qualified therapists.
- The post holder shows initiative, motivation and excellent organisational ability working closely with therapy staff to develop administrative support and systems for the therapy team.
- The post-holder is flexible in their approach to work and provides cover for other therapy assistants and instructors across the service in periods of leave or absence.
- The post-holder will be expected, after appropriate training, to perform manual handling tasks.
- The post-holder will be required to demonstrate time management & prioritisation skills.
- The post-holder will be required to work with their team on service development and quality assurance projects.
