**The role**
As a Discipline Lead - Risk, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary, bringing additional risk management leadership to major submarines programmes.
- Develop and implement the Project Risk Management plan across submarine programmes
- Develop and implement Risk Management policies, procedures and process in line with the Risk Discipline Lead.
- Establish and implement risk management governance within the project
- Act as the Risk Management Subject Matter Expert on projects in the submarine business area
- Manage the risk outputs assurance process, including data, analysis and reporting

This role is full time 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 - 3 days in the office/onsite.

**Essential experience of the Discipline Lead - Risk**
- Extensive relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector
- Experience of designing and implementing risk management methodologies, processes, systems and tools
- Advanced risk and opportunity management techniques
- Full project lifecycle experience working on complex and major projects
- Experienced in various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC/JCT)
- Experience leading teams of risk professionals in a matrix organisation

**Qualifications for the Discipline Lead - Risk**
- Ideally a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Project Management or a related field or equivalent experience
- Project Planning and Controls Foundation - Desirable
- Project Fundamentals qualification - Desirable
- Management of Risk Practitioner or APM Risk L2 - Desirable
