Full-time Independent Living Co-Ordinators required in Preston, Lancashire
Hays are currently recruiting Independent Living Co-Ordinators in the Preston area to join a Social Housing team on a temporary ongoing contract, with the potential to extend and become full time.
The successful post holder will have a prior knowledge of housing management legislation and tenancy management principles, and will have ideally worked within Social Housing previously.
This role will involve travelling between schemes, so a UK driving licence with own mode of transport is essential.
**Key responsibilities**:

- You will be responsible for a number of houses within your assigned area and keeping in regular contact with residents to ensure their safety, wellbeing and safeguarding is always upheld
- Maintaining regular on-site presence at all schemes in your area, identifying any housing management or resident wellbeing concerns are noted and providing an efficient and suitable resolution
- Carrying out regular risk assessments
- Attending local authority panel meetings and liaising with external contractors/agencies where necessary
- Ensure purchase orders and invoices are managed promptly
- Managing void properties, tenancy enforcement and investigating reports of anti-social behaviour
- Ensure maintenance repairs are monitored and residents are kept informed of any works due to be carried out

- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of people
- Ability to work independently and manage workload, and also collaboratively in a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of housing management legislation and housing/tenancy management principles
- UK driving licence with access to own vehicle
