CK Group are recruiting for a Bioinformatician, to join an exciting clinical stage biotech, developing Autoimmune treatments. The role will be office based in Oxford on a permanent basis.
**The Role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Statistical analysis of both in-house and public datasets to generate biological insights.
- Processing of ‘omics’ data, such as RNA-Seq, from raw sequencing files using established workflow tools.
- Creation of interactive interfaces for data visualisation to increase data accessibility.
- Contribute to planning and execution of NGS related projects across experimental programmes.

**Your Background**:

- PhD in bioinformatics; or Masters/bachelor’s degree plus equivalent industry experience can also be considered.
- In-depth practical experience of analysing biological data and generating summary reports.
- Experience developing interaction data visualisations (esp. using Shiny).
- Examples of previous work analysing large omics datasets, ideally single-cell transcriptomics, to derive biological insights in disease.
- In depth practical experience working on remote, Unix-based, compute clusters.
- Experience developing and/or using bioinformatics pipelines within an established workflow manager (Snakemake, NextFlow etc.).
- Examples of work demonstrating strong coding skills in R/Python (ideally both).
