Senior Bioinformatician

An exciting biotechnology company are on the lookout for a Senior Bioinformatician to join their team There is an expectation to be on-site in Oxford once a week, as well as, for the occasional conferences / events.
This company assists in the creation, growth, and expansion of biotech firms, aiming for global outreach by collaborating with local experts to accelerate innovation. Led by entrepreneurs, it facilitates the development of new medicines and companies on a global scale. Develop algorithms and statistical approaches for characterizing T-cell repertoires, identifying clonotypes, analysing diversity, and predicting antigen specificity.
Conduct analysis on RNA sequencing data, including examining differential gene expression, pathway enrichment, and alternative splicing.
Intergrate and correlate data to unveil connections between T-cell receptor dynamics, RNA sequencing transcriptome, and clinical or experimental factors.
Utilise machine learning methods, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, to merge multi-omics data and pinpoint predictive biomarkers related to immune response and disease prognosis.
Cultivate robust collaborations with translational and clinical researchers to interpret data and uncover novel insights.

PhD (or equivalent experience) in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, or similar discipline.
Significant academic or commercial experience within drug discovery/development or biomarker discovery environment.
Prior experience working with clinical trial translational data.
Experience building and running next generation sequencing (NGS) analytical pipelines, preferably using NextFlow and Docker.
Excellent computational skills with experience in large-scale bioinformatics analysis of DNA, RNA and peptide sequence data.
