Child Health Information Service Administrator

Oldham, United Kingdom Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust Full time

**In November 2016, NHS England published Healthy Children**: Transforming Child Health Information. The Strategy set out a vision for how Child Health Information Services can support both parents and professionals in providing the highest quality care for children and young people (Healthy Children: Transforming Child Health Information, NHS England 2016). The vision outlined the ambition for Child Health Information Services to achieve 2 main objectives; knowing where every child is and how healthy they are and appropriate access to information for all involved in the care of children.

CHIS plays a critical role in the scheduling, recording, monitoring and failsafe of public health programmes, including vaccination delivery and immunisation status of children in England. It is the definitive source of childhood immunisation uptake and coverage within England and, as such, is essential to limiting the spread of communicable diseases.

We are looking to recruit a Child Health Information Service Administrator.

Work as part of a team to provide a high quality Child Health Information Service, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained. Working closely with and to a high standard with other members of the Child Health Information Service on a range of National Screening and Immunisation Programmes, specifically in maintaining an accurate database of children resident within the locality to ensure all contractual responsibilities are achieved. Administer and process patient information and appointments, accurately recording and validating information and updating computerised data systems relating to child health.

The Northern Care Alliance (NCA) is one of the largest NHS organisations in the country. Launched in April 2017, the NCA serves over one million people across Greater Manchester and employs over 19,000 healthcare professionals across Bury, Rochdale, Salford and Oldham. The sheer size, scale and potential of our combined service is huge. At the NCA, we can offer groupwide, flexible multi-site opportunities, as part of our connected, integrated and engaged team. We believe in saving and improving lives and are passionate about driving forward significant improvements to the provision of safe, high-quality integrated health and social care to our local community. If you share our vision, take your place with us.
