This is a hybrid role with a mix of home and office-based working at Trafford Town Hall in Stretford.

Within the shared service, our HR Pensions team administer support for three major pensions schemes including Local Government Pensions Scheme, Teachers Pensions Scheme and Police Officer Pensions Scheme. You will support our pensions specialists to continue to deliver excellent customer service, liaising with the scheme providers, resolving complex queries and giving guidance on pensions related matters.
- A working knowledge of one or more public service pension schemes including legislation, regulations and best practice
- Experience of developing and implementing Pensions and/or Payroll systems, processes and procedures within a large organisation
- The ability to work as part of a team to deliver overall strategic goals
- Able to work on their own initiative, to maintain their own personal development to ensure accurate and timely service delivery that exceeds expectations and drives customer confidence
- A passion for service improvement and exceptional customer focus
- Ability to make pragmatic decisions (based upon existing policies, procedures and regulations) in a live operational environment
- Able to produce and interpret data, to improve performance and inform decision making
- Strong digital skills, with an interest in using ICT to help us work smarter
