Interim Payroll Project Tester and Specialist

Interim
Our client is looking to recruit an interim Payroll Project Tester and Specialist. The payroll will be moving to a new managed service on a specialist system. The payroll team will provide the data via Exchange (SAP). You will be responsible for deliveringtesting activities to support delivery of test services to the payroll project, in line with the project program. In addition to this, you will assist in the collation of guides and documents to support the new way of working.
Key responsibilities of the Interim Payroll Project Tester and Specialist:

- Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scenarios for multiple processes and interfaces
- Manage and review the test scenarios to ensure that all steps have been completed and all requirements have been met
- Coordinate with test team to ensure that deadlines are met, and quality standards are maintained
- Adhere to company-wide policies and procedures
- Lead on evaluating the success of a test by comparing results to predicted outcomes with the support of the SME's
- Coordinate activities with Alight (vendor) and other business work streams involved in the testing process, appreciating project timings, and scheduling tests accordingly
- Monitor progress throughout the test cycle to ensure that milestones are met
- Serve as the end-to-end test lead working with payroll, HR, and the wider business
- Communicate with other project team members regarding test status, issues, or concerns you identify
- Assist in the creation of user-friendly 'how to' guides for payroll input, to support the BAU team post go-live
- Assist in the documentation of new procedures and processes within Payroll, HR, and the wider business
- Assist in the support and training of the BAU teams on the new ways of working
Key requirements for the Interim Payroll Project Tester and Specialist:

- Extensive payroll testing experience using Exchange (SAP)
- Experience in SAP Success Factors is desirable
- Demonstrable experience of the full end to end testing phase, including the ability to create test scenarios, and manage the delivery of these tests
- Must have a 'hands on' approach, getting involved in the full testing process
- Must have a strong attention to detail with the ability to identify problems and find solutions
- Demonstrable experience of creating user guides and documentation that are clear and user friendly
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Good technical knowledge
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team, supporting other colleagues when required, ensuring everyone understands their role
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
