**Buyer - Maternity cover - Buckshaw Village - Hybrid working**

**What you will be doing**:

- Provide procurement solutions to meet customer requirements including recommendations on standard product items and alternative available products
- Expedite purchase orders by request and based upon achieving best price/maintenance pf appropriate stock levels
- Set up and maintenance of product part profiles
- Manage and develop suppliers, to include the implementation of specific supplier agreements
- Commercial understanding and analysis of market movements and pricing, including the negotiation of prices

**The ideal level of skill, competence & experience does someone need in order to do this job effectively?**
- Experience within a commercially minded, procurement position
- A relevant qualification i.e. CIPS or working towards qualification
- Sourcing and Category Management expertise
- Experience of working in a similar buying/assistant buyer/purchasing role
- Strong negotiation skills
- Microsoft Office skills to intermediate level

Salary £30k, negotiable depending on experience, 25 days + bank holidays, pension, hybrid role, flexible can be offered..

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
