Job Purpose Summary:
As an Engineer, you will be the technical expert and "go-to" person for our client's customers, partners, and sales teams. You will be responsible for providing technical support and training to customers and partners on products and solutions. Additionally, you will collaborate with the sales team on pre-sales activities such as product information and presentations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a passion for customer service.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Maintain and develop a profitable customer portfolio through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods.
Gain a clear understanding of customers' business requirements.
Respond to and follow-up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
Procure product in accordance with customer requirements and Company guidelines.
Liaise internally in order to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.
Establish rapport with engineers and buyers to promote our franchise offerings..
Attend and present at customer meetings, representing the Company in a professional manner at all times.
Assume responsibility for technical sales & support.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
Present and promote the Company to prospective customers, representing the Company in a professional manner at all times.
Observe competitor activity and gather intelligence.
Liaise with global business units to maximise overall Company sales opportunities.
Understand Customer technical road-maps, technology and trends, to summarise and make product solution recommendations.
Work jointly with Franchise R&D, Product Engineering and Operations to resolve technical issues during and after design-in.
Attend industry functions when required. A degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering is essential.
