**Responsibilities**:
**SMTS SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER**

**THE ROLE**:
The focus of this role is to design high performance Radio Frequency (RF) Analog-to-Digital and Digital-to-Analog Converters (ADCs and DACs) which are integrated into FPGA Devices.

**THE PERSON**:
You have a passion for RF and Mixed-Signal Design. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
- Develop circuit architectures to meet requirement specifications
- Simulation test bench development and simulation verification of the developed circuit architectures (schematic and layout)
- Collaborate closely with Layout Engineers to implement your design in layout
- EMIR and Reliability validation of designed circuits
- Partaking in on-going design reviews over the course of the design cycle
- Validation of your design on return of Silicon from Fab.

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**:

- Experience in design of high performance data converters and / or high speed (GHz) circuits
- Experience in designing a range of analog circuits such as amplifiers, oscillators, reference circuits and comparators
- Excellent understanding of process technology and the influence on circuit behavior
- Excellent understanding of circuit simulators and simulation techniques
- Ability to create innovate circuits and identify novel circuit techniques
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team

**ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS**:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
