We are looking for an Admissions Officer to join our busy and growing team at University of Plymouth International College (UPIC)
The Admissions Officer is expected to support the College Admission function working closely with the Admissions Manager and Coordinator and the Director of Marketing and Admissions, and with the University Partner’s (UP) Admissions and Compliance teams.
**Salary**: c. £23,000 per Annum
**Admissions Officer Duties**:
- Application processing, payment processing and student arrivals
- Arrange and carry out admission interviews
- Contribute as necessary to solving problems/ issues raised by Source Country Office and agents
- Support visa documentation and verification processes (with Partner University)
- Handle on the ground complex student and agent enquiries
- Provide visa support and advice where appropriate
- Develop excellent UP engagement, via connections and working relationships with UP admission and compliance teams
- Support CAS issuance alongside the Admissions Coordinator with the UP
- Support the reporting of non-arrivals to UP
- Assist in the provision of pre departure information
- Support Admissions Coordinator in the creation, maintenance and quality assurance of student records
- Support the management of student records, liaising with the UP to ensure that records are kept up to date
- Support on admission compliance troubleshooting
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly reports on admissions issues and trends inclusive of recommendations
- Coordinating student accommodation enquiries and information requests and bookings, liaising with the Student Experience Team to ensure a seamless accommodation booking process
- Participating in enrolment and orientation activities
- Carrying out duties as may be required by the College Director and Director of Marketing and Admissions.
**Admissions Officer Requirements (will include at least some of)**:
- Tertiary Level education or possess related sector qualifications/training
- Excellent understanding of front-line customer relationship management
- Proven ability as a 'team player’
- Proven ability to organise own workload and to cope with a variety of task demands
- Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings in support of student and administrative activities
- Creative thinking processes
- Commitment to self-improvement
- Experience in Further/Higher Education customer services focused environment
- Good understanding of Higher Education admission processes
- Administrative and compliance knowledge and experience related to student visas
- Knowledge of UNIT-e system
- Experience of working in an International admissions education setting
- Front-line customer relationship management to multicultural client base
- An effective knowledge of university pathway programmes
- Knowledge of CRM systems.
