This Job is a very complex and multi facetted role. The post holder will need to be a dynamic, organised and proactive. This role incorporates a computer based operative role with a role similar to that of a Health care assistant.
Main duties of the job
Organising beds for post operative patients
Using several IT systems such as nerve centre, Medway and blue spier simultaneously to transfer patients and tag beds.
Co-ordinating with surgical wards, bed managers and the wider MDT
Caring for patients post operatively. Undertaking personal care, transferring back to the ward, undertake relevant observations and escalate accordingly.
Maintaining stock levels in all recovery areas.
Administrative duties
Undertake relevant interventions when instructed such as blood glucose monitoring, HB monitoring, blood gas analysis, ECG monitoring and bedpusher.

You will be an integral part of the team helping with the flow of patients through he peri-operative process. Alongside this you will be caring directly for the patients coming from theatre under the direct supervision of a registered Nurse.

- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy and organisational skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication under pressure. Previous experence using relavent or similar IT systems

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
