We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and proactive Adult and Paediatric trained nurses/ODP’s to join our friendly and supportive team

NUH Theatre Recovery spans 2 campuses - QMC and City - and provides care for patients in the immediate post-operative phase for both adult and paediatric patients covering 46 operating theatres following emergency and elective surgeries. Surgical specialties include major trauma, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, hepatobiliary, general surgery, maxillofacial, spinal surgery, eye surgery, ENT, obstetrics, vascular, upper GI, thoracics and burns. Paediatric patients are cared for at QMC.

You will be joining a pro-active, dynamic team of nurses and ODP’s, who offer the best standards of perioperative care. Every day is different - challenging but rewarding. We pride ourselves on team work, learning and being forward thinking. Expectations are to deliver a high quality service, with patient safety a priority. You should be able to demonstrate effective team working and work to the highest standards of evidence based
practice.

A sense of humour and pride in your job is essential. NUH is a Major Trauma Centre offering fantastic support to a diverse range of students and learners and therefore the successful applicant should either hold or be willing to work towards a level three mentorship qualification.

Working for our organisation

The successful applicant will participate in the current Main Theatre rota which includes out of hours work, nights and weekend shifts. There is a commitment to Bank Holiday work and on-calls

Please note that due to ongoing service developments the post holder may be required cross site at our other Theatre Complex based at the Queens Campus.

Essential criteria
- Current level one NMC registration or HCPC registration

Desirable criteria
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development or other relevant courses relating to recovery

- Demonstrate effective or transferable skills relating to post operative care

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
