**SALARY**:starting at £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Import and Export Coordinator / Shipping and Airfreight Clerkwho has good knowledge or EU and US customs processes and customs classifications and declaration procedures.

Working as the Import and Export Coordinator / Shipping and Airfreight Clerk you will be working within a current team of 4, responsible for ensuring effective distribution operations, and that all shipments are processed in an efficient, timely and profitableway.

As the Import and Export Coordinator / Shipping and Airfreight Clerk your role will be varied and constantly interesting and you will be involved with the following:

- Development and guidance of imports and exports particularly with the EU and US
- Permit and License Management for regulated substances in cooperation with specialist functions at Operations
- Drive import and export declarations. Communication with customs entities especially for Third Countries
- Support the development of import export function at country level
- Support the implementation of customs and trade IT solutions (e.g. export control)
- Support the global Evotec supply chain network on customs and trade relevant matters
- Prepare and support customs audits
- Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner
- Close collaboration with the operational team on shipments in and out

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

As the Import and Export Coordinator / Shipping and Airfreight Clerk you will have the following skills and experience:

- Good knowledge of EU and US customs process: AEB export control
- Good knowledge of customs classification and declaration procedures
- Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations (IATA, ADR) e.g. chemicals/biological materials
- Good understanding in handling license management in combination with general logístical processes

Strong communication and diplomacy skills, sense of humour, open minded. You will also need excellent organisationalskills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple priorities
- Computer skills, experience working with warehouse programs would be ideal
