**Hours**: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00
Reed are proud to be able to bring to you a role with our internationally renowned life science client, in their search for an experienced and inspiring New Business Manager within their Cosmetics, Detergents, and Hygiene, Paper and Household customer department.
Our client provides a unique range of analytical, clinical, and regulatory testing services to their business clients across multiple industries, to make life and our environment safer, healthier.
They work with the biggest companies in the world to ensure the products they supply are safe, their ingredients are authentic, and labelling is accurate.
In the 30 years they’ve been in operation, our client has grown from one laboratory in France to over 58,000 staff across a network of more than 1000 independent companies in over 54 countries and operating more than 900 laboratories.
Just last year alone, they generated a total revenue of EUR € 6.7 billion, and have been among the best performing stocks in Europe over the past 20 years.
- Establish relationships with new customers and further penetration of existing customers accounts, maximising the potential to spend
- Continually prospect for new clients and accounts using a range of methods.
- To attend Trade fairs and through other networking opportunities promote the brand to reach new customers and generate sales.
- Be proficient in designing and delivering presentations to new customers to engage their interest in the business
- Report to management about competitive landscape, market opportunities and best practices seen in the market
- To identify customers’ needs and build appropriate sales pitch to capture customer engagement, ensure this is clearly passed over to the sales team for further expansion.
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
- Keep up to date with current techniques and services available within the business network in order to promote effectively to clients.
- To develop and maintain high quality relationships with the rest of the UK team to ensure clarity of communication in all directions and UK customers’ needs are understood.
- To have an in-depth understanding of costing and pricing strategies.
**About you**
- You must have practical knowledge of cosmetic and/or detergent testing and the manufacturing process
- You must have practical knowledge of consumer product testing and the manufacturing process
- 3 years’ experience achieving sales targets within B2B environment within consumer product testing categories
- Knowledge and understanding of sales and account management techniques.
- Experience of using CRM and specialised software systems
- To be able to listen and communicate to different levels within the business and to gain the confidence of the client.
- To be a self-starter and manage own workload in a timely and effective manner.
