**Residential Child Care Worker**
We are seeking **Residential childcare workers** for our houses in rural Stirlingshire
**Salary: £23518.80 to £32,528.90 p/a (includes an average of 9 sleepover payments and based on 40 hr week. Please note that sleepover payments could vary depending on rota and contracted hours)**
**Salary dependant on qualifications** - based on non qualified, part qualified and fully qualified.**

We appreciate that being a residential child care worker is about more than just following policies and procedures. It is actually about being genuinely **caring a**nd making the right choices in difficult times.
Everything that you do as part of this role revolves around the **needs** of our young people and will compliment your own personal commitment to be the best that you can be and a person that fully understands our Young People’s needs and aspirations.
**The Job Role**:
- To provide **care and guidance **to **vulnerable children and young people living in Residential Care.**:
- You will work in a positive, respectful and empowering way with all young people in order to promote good relationships and encourage achievement while being a positive role model.
**What Experience Will You Need?**
- **Experience** of **working with young people **in either a professional or voluntary capacity and an understanding of the principles of safeguarding and Child Protection legislation
- An understanding and or experience of Trauma informed care practices
- A valid **manual **driving licence is **essential** as you will have to drive young people to various activities)
- **Own transport required due to location**:
- PVG check will also be undertaken if successful.

**Education**:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Residential Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
- Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Manual driving licence (required)
- SVQ 3 level 7 children and young people (preferred)
