We are looking for an experienced HR Partner to work closely with senior leaders and managers across the RSC. You will use your deep understanding of generalist HR practice and employee relations to provide well-judged advice, coaching and guidance thatenables the RSC to perform at its best.

This position is offered as a full time, fixed term contract from April 2023 for an initial period of six months to cover maternity leave. It can be based in London or Stratford-upon-Avon, with home working and travel to other sites.

Working closely with HR colleagues, you will collaborate to develop effective HR solutions that are appropriate for the needs of the RSC overall and supporting both projects and business as usual activity within the HR team.

Duties and responsibilities for the role include:

- Coaching, advising and supportively challenging managers across a range of HR issues, processes, policies and procedures
- Working alongside managers to support complex employee relations issues, including individual case management, restructures, redundancy, TUPE and advice on contractual arrangements, such as employment status
- Encouraging employee engagement by supporting and coaching managers to develop a positive team culture, working with staff engagement forums and Unions
- Working proactively with HR colleagues to deliver projects and initiatives on the HR workplan
- Deputising for the HR Partners as required
- Championing Equity, Diversity, Justice and Inclusion

To be suitable for this role, you must have/be:

- Extensive broad generalist HR experience in a complex organisation Practical experience of supporting a culture of continuous improvement and high levels of performance
- Confident in dealing with a range of complex employee relations issues
- Experience of working with variety of contractual working arrangements, including both employees and freelancers.
- Experience of working positively with Trade Unions and staff engagement forums to deliver successful outcomes.
- Highly organised, adaptable and comfortable with a high volume of work, multiple priorities and supporting a range of stakeholders.

You will be joining a hard-working, supportive and dedicated HR team which comprises of a Head of HR, HR Partners, an Assistant HR Partner, a Senior Organisational Development Manager, Project Manager, Equity, Diversity, Justice and Inclusion Programme Manager,Training and Apprenticeships Manager, a Recruitment and Talent Manager, Recruitment Advisor, HR Advisor and HR Administrators.

The HR department works to a hybrid model. We trust that colleagues know where, and how, their role can best be delivered and support a mix of remote and on-site based working, as best fits the needs of the HR team, their stakeholders, and the RSC. Typically,team members work an average of 2 - 3 days remotely each week, but this varies according to specific work activity.

The normal hours of work are 35 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday, with the understanding that additional hours (including occasional evenings or other out of hours work to reflect working in the arts and culture sector) may be required to fulfil theresponsibilities of the role.

The role will attract a salary of £45,000 per annum, pro-rata
