This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and experienced Quality Lead to join the Cervical Screening Wales team.

The post holder will support the Head of Programme, Clinical Lead and wider clinical and operational team in the delivery of the governance and quality agenda across the Cervical Screening Wales Programme.

The successful individual will provide leadership on all areas of programme quality within Cervical Screening Wales. This will include programme governance, audit, quality monitoring, policy development, and leading on service user experience for the CSW programme.

The Quality lead will be responsible for ensuring robust processes for the reporting and monitoring of incidents and concerns, ensuring lessons learned have been embedded across the programme. Through training and coaching, they will support clinical and administration teams in the use of service improvement methodology and quality systems, contributing to improving the overall quality of programme delivery.

**The post holder will be expected, to**:

- Lead and provide leadership on all areas of programme quality within Cervical Screening Wales
- Lead within the team on designated improvement work streams as directed by the Head of Programme/Head of Nursing.
- Lead within the team on the development of policy documents relating to quality and governance within cervical screening
- Liaise with external agencies across Wales and the UK as appropriate
- Act as Quality Lead for Quality Assurance visits relating to Health Board Colposcopy clinics and laboratories.
- Represent CSW Programme at local and national level as delegated by Head of Programme

The Screening Division is part of the Health Protection and Screening Services Directorate of Public Health Wales. The Screening Division delivers the seven national population based screening programmes in Wales (Breast Test Wales, Bowel Screening Wales, Cervical Screening Wales, Newborn Bloodspot Screening Wales, Newborn Hearing Screening Wales, Diabetic Eye Screening Wales, Wales Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme) and manages the Antenatal Screening Wales clinical network.
