**Required for September 2023**

**Initially, two-year fixed term to August 2025**

**Salary: Actual salary up to £25,679 per annum for 42 weeks inclusive of holiday pay (FTE = £28,053).**

As one of the leading independent schools in the country, we are committed to supporting and guiding pupils to become self-determining, fulfilled and resilient people. People who value serve and enrich the communities to which they belong in a complex and changing world.

The Social Action Mentor will take the lead on College systems and structures for enabling pupils to see themselves as people who can positively impact society.

The role focuses on agency - developing ways in which pupils can build their capacity to make a difference to the world around them.

The Social Action Mentor will also help the structures and partnerships required for charity fundraising and pupil volunteering. This includes working to promote pupil involvement and engagement with all of College’s wider partnership projects.

The role will help:

- provide purpose-driven personal development for life beyond College;
- pupils connect positively with others and their environment; and
- support a community who embody the values of global citizens.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a supportive yet challenging work environment. You will be a trailblazer, developing a new and important work strand. If you are committed to growing professionally and want to help young people make a difference, then this opportunity could be for you.

As one of the world’s leading schools, and with a strong pioneering heritage, our aim is to embody excellence, independence and empowerment in the education of young women. You will join a friendly and supportive community of committed professionals who believe that our pupils are at the heart of all we do. We are ambitious for their futures, collectively and individually, and have been so for almost 170 years.

Interviews will be held on: Thursday 4 July 2023

Applications will be considered as they are received and College reserves the right to appoint at any time in the process.

Cheltenham Ladies’ College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
