The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment and redecoration works and is looking for an independent, knowledgeable and capable Maintenance assistant to join its team. The role aims at 3 days a week work at the Shillingford Bridge Hotel with the possibility of additional hours as and when the need arises. We are looking for someone that can make a difference and gel with the team to improve the general condition of the property.

Duties to include painting & decorating, basic/some electrical repairs and plumbing work, small repairs, replacing fixtures and fittings, servicing and cleaning, general building and grounds keeping.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Keeping the hotel and grounds clean and tidy.

2. Checking with Reception and Housekeeping whether any maintenance issues have been reported.

3. Fixing any maintenance issues which can be resolved immediately.

4. Advising the Hotel Manager of any major maintenance issues and deciding upon subsequent action.

5. Regularly check security aspects of the property.

6. Monitoring the plant room and arranging service and maintenance call-outs.

7. Liaise with service contractors for plant and machinery as required.

8. Regularly check the hotel for any Health & Safety issues.

9. Support the Hotel Manager regarding responsibility for statutory compliance.

10. You will also contribute to recommendations for larger scale project work, as well as support smaller projects in-house.

**GENERIC**

1. To be constantly vigilant in respect of H&S issues and report issues.

2. To be constantly vigilant of security risks and immediately report any suspicious incidents.

3. To undertake other duties from time to time as may be required.

4. Be mindful of GDPR and confidentiality with regards to guest & employee personal data.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £11.00-£15.00 per hour
