**HSE Administrator - Bristol**

**Position Overview**

Our client is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Administrator to support the development, implementation, and management of health, safety, and environmental programs and policies for the company. This role ensures compliance with UK regulatory requirements and promotes a culture of safety within the organisation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure compliance with UK HSE regulations and standards (e.g., Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Environment Agency).
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate HSE records, prepare reports, and document incidents, inspections, and audits.
- **Training and Education**: Coordinate and conduct HSE training programs for employees, including new hire orientations and ongoing safety education.
- **Risk Assessment**: Assist in the identification and assessment of potential hazards and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- **Incident Investigation**: Investigate HSE incidents and near-misses, determine root causes, and develop corrective actions.
- **Safety Programs**: Support the development and implementation of safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- **Emergency Response**: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures; conduct drills and training.
- **Inspections and Audits**: Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits to ensure workplace compliance with safety standards.
- **Communication**: Serve as a point of contact for HSE-related issues, providing guidance and support to staff and management.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Promote continuous improvement in HSE practices and performance through regular review and updating of policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an HSE or similar role.
- **Knowledge**: Strong understanding of UK HSE regulations and standards (e.g., Health and Safety at Work Act, Environmental Protection Act).
- **Skills**:

- Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations.
- Analytical skills to assess risks and develop solutions.

**Preferred Certifications**
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- IOSH Managing Safely
- First Aid and CPR Certification

**Working Conditions**
- May require occasional travel to various worksites within the UK.
- Must be able to work in varying conditions, including exposure to industrial environments.
- Ability to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
