Job description
Role Summary
How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway
Bright Future Co-op is a fast-tracked, supported employment programme for survivors of Modern Slavery. The programme was developed by Causeway as a partnership with the Co-operative Group in 2017 as a way to break down barriers to employment that survivors would often face, and ensure they can reach sustainable independence through safe and stable employment. After a successful three years of growth, it became an independent co-operative, whose members include Business Members who provide job opportunities, and Referrer Members who refer and support survivors into the programme. We are currently working with 23 Referrer Members and 12 Business Members - including Currys, Morrisons, Pilgrims, Midcounties Cooperative, Medaille Trust, Hestia, Hope for Justice.
**Responsibilities**:
- Act as the primary contact for Referrer and Business members undergoing the Bright Future Placement Journey, ensuring seamless progression of placements and support for members
- If issues arise, provide trauma-informed and person-centred guidance to members to problem-solve any obstacles and help progress placements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Referrer Members, sharing new roles with Operational Contacts (often service managers) and running the online Fortnightly Forums to increase referrals and ensure members are confident with the process
- Work collaboratively with business members to understand the needs of the roles on offer, updating job descriptions and ensuring they feel confident in the process
- Navigating diverse stakeholders' needs and necessitate a keen understanding, skillfully aligning them with our service’s vision and values, and fostering accountability in a collaborative and positive approach
- Collect data from referrals, matching process, and placement questionnaires which are used for data and monitoring
- Work collaboratively with the Bright Future Manager to ensure the service is running efficiently and effectively. This may involve covering certain aspects during the Bright Future manager’s annual leave or picking up certain tasks during busy periods
- Provide weekly updates to Bright Future Manager including information on placements, engagement of members, and common obstacles and how to address them
- Support in developing new Bright Future policy and procedure documents, ensuring alignment with evolving needs
- Occasionally promote Bright Future at events, promoting the programme and fostering community engagement
- Adhere to all Causeway internal procedures
- Any other duties that are commensurate with the role_
