As a Sourcing Specialist in the Pharmacy team, you will be responsible for negotiating industry leading national agreements, ensuring best in class industry pricing and contract terms and conditions.

**DUTIES (included, but not limited to)**:
**Category Knowledge**

Understand or demonstrate an aptitude to learn the product categories assigned and how end-users interface with the products/services including but not limited to:

- Product features and benefits
- Product comparisons between supplier offerings and impact on healthcare providers in deriving value through conversion opportunities
- Interpret and use market information provided by HealthTrust Europe Sales & Marketing Team and US Global Sourcing Team

**Supplier Knowledge**
- With guidance from manager, you will use knowledge about supplier to execute strategies, create leverage, and mitigate risks.

**Strategy Development, Validation and Risk Mitigation**
- For assigned categories, you will develop the strategy with the support of their manager, seeking guidance for risk issues and agreeing on risk mitigation strategies.

**Sourcing Process**
- Under general supervision, you will being responsible for the sourcing process for their assigned categories. This includes market research, bid preparation, RFI, strategy development & validation, SQ, RFP/ITT, contract negotiations, and contract launch
- Present category strategies and final awards to internal stakeholders for review and discussion, prior to being validated by members
- Deliver quality presentations to customers
- Undertake pre
- assessment of award scenarios and utilises outputs to inform sourcing strategies for assigned categories
- Utilise knowledge of procurement processes to determine appropriate procurement approaches required to deliver required value for all stakeholders
- Undertake end to end sourcing initiatives in line with organisation’s sourcing practices.

**Supplier and Customer Relationship Management**

**Supplier**:

- Oversee the supplier relationship during the sourcing process. Participate in supplier business reviews and reviews new products/technologies/services as they arise in assigned categories

**Customer**:

- Build effective working relationships with customers with interaction primarily being through member presentations
- Identify key customer relationships to be established, to support the growth of the assigned portfolio
- Build and nurture effective customer relationships through frequent interactions (all levels, including executive) and engagement activities.

**Communications**

Focusing on effective and efficient communications with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Key communications include:

- Facilitate conversations with internal stakeholders during project kick-off to gather feedback, opinions, and alignment of resource needs to meet contracting initiative timelines
- Communicate bid process, negotiation status, agreement on terms, financial proposal concerns and other matters with supplier and internal team
- Develop contract launch materials and working with Portfolio Leads to ensure all contract materials are maintained.

**Collaboration**

Collaboration required with functional team throughout sourcing process as set out below:

- Legal staff on development and finalization of contract
- Commercial analysts on preparing and assessing supplier proposals
- Clinical Integration and Operational Support Team to prepare for contracting initiatives and implementation of awarded agreements
- Account management in their customer-facing duties related to the portfolio.

**Financial & Operational Goals**
- Meet financial & operational goals in the annual contracting plan

**Customer Service**
- Work with Portfolio Leads to resolve supplier and/or customer issues
- Maintain strong internal and external customer relationships and builds trust and respect by consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Work with HealthTrust Europe audit team to assist and facilitate engagement and finalization of audit projects.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create or interpret potentially complex financial models
- OJEU experience is desirable
- Demonstrate consistently good attention to detail
- Healthcare experience is desirable
- Understand and interpret complex instructions, proposals, and contract language
- Listen and separate ancillary information
