**The Opportunity**

The Ugobus Co-ordinator leads, manages and motivates Drivers and Passenger Assistants, ensuring the teams carry passengers and operate specially adapted vehicles in a safe manner.

The role is responsible for planning workloads, rotas and worksheets on a weekly basis and ensuring all the vehicles are presented for inspection, servicing and maintenance as per legal requirements.

The role liaises with stakeholders, including providing workshops for day/resource centres and schools, parents and carers to ensure individual passenger needs are met.

**Accountabilities**
- Responsible for supervising a team of Drivers and Passenger Assistants to ensure provision of an efficient Ugobus Service.
- Responsible for maintaining records to ensure travel routes are efficient and cost effective.
- Responsible for supervising the vehicle operation ensuring that daily safety checks and routine maintenance are conducted in a timely and efficient manner; undertaking periodic vehicle audits to ensure safe operating procedures are being followed..
- Responsible for the provision of management information; ensuring the completion of all monitoring and paperwork to maintain key information and keep records up to date.
- Supporting the service by ensuring key processes are followed and maintained to keep vehicles clean and tidy.
- Supporting the service by maintaining all records to ensure client confidentiality and data security are fully protected.
- Responsible for supporting Drivers and Passenger Assistants to mitigate risks by completing all safety measures and recording all necessary risks for safety purposes.
- Responsible for ensuring that Drivers and Passenger Assistants are aware of and compliant with Safeguarding protocols and proactively managing any safeguarding concerns that may arise.
- Responsible for resolving and effectively managing service complaints from passengers, their carer’s, relatives and day centre staff, ensuring that each matter is brought to a prompt and satisfactory conclusion.
- Specific individual and shared targets and objectives are defined annually within the performance management framework.

**The Experience You Will Bring**
- Educated to ‘A’ level / NVQ level 3 within a relevant sector, plus 5 GCSE’s A-C (new GCSE 4-9) including English and Math’s or equivalent) or equivalent experience in the field.
- Holder of a valid driving licence with Category D1 entitlement; knowledge and experience of driving a passenger carrying minibus would be advantageous.
- Experience of vehicle management and the legal requirements for operating a mini bus fleet (or similar)
- Ability to work with passengers with a diverse of physical and mental needs.
- Ability to carry out basic vehicle safety checks.
- Previous experience of successfully managing a team.
- Good IT and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm.
