**Junior Accounts Assistant**

**Location**:South Woodham Ferrers

**Salary**: £22,000

**Hours**: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm (The role includes overtime, therefore flexibility to fulfil this business need is a requirement)

Working with the Accounting Departments to support day to day processing and maintenance of internal processes. Ensuring timely and accurate completion of Accounting Department work requests. The role is in a fast paced, high volume process environment with opportunities to learn and progress through the company

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Verification and processing of accounts payable and receivable
- Issue of invoices and ensuring compliance with local legislation
- Clearing of incoming receipts to the bank and ensuring correct allocations
- Clearing of settlements and uploading documents to system
- Sending remittance advice to vendors
- Maintaining and updating reporting spreadsheets
- Daily workload updates for management, including overtime requests
- Updating database reports
- Storage and maintenance of auditing documentation in accordance with Data Protection Regulations

**What skills do I need?**
- Managing own personal workload
- Working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Able to follow instructions
- Undertaking training suggested to improve knowledge and skills
- Approaching tasks in a positive and considerate manner
- Using initiative where appropriate
- Minimum of GCSE Math & English (4+ or A-C)
