**We’re looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our Shared Service Centre in Bradford.**

This role is responsible for accurate payroll administration and answering payroll queries as part of LG Shared Service Centre; for our UK Virgin Media employees.

Within this role, you will also assist with the accurate and timely processing of all payroll credit transfers for employees in accordance with both statutory and company rules and in a way that positively impacts customer effectiveness, efficiency, and confidence.

The Shared Service Centre, known as LSS, acts as a central speciality service supporting the wider Liberty Global group with specialisms in areas of Finance, Accounting, People, Legal & Systems. This central team supports a number of businesses across the Liberty Global footprint including Virgin Media.

**What will you be doing?**
- Resolve complex pay queries enquiries, issues and complaints, escalating as appropriate.
- Complete accurate payroll transactional processing.
- Ensure that statutory deductions are correctly made and accounted for and that all statutory returns, including those for taxable benefits, relating to the employees, are produced and despatched in a timely manner.
- Support the management of the accurate and punctual processing of all payroll credit transfer and emergency CHAPS payments.
- Ensure that non-statutory deductions made on behalf of the employees are accounted for and returns, including payment, are made to the appropriate organisations.

**We tend to look for people with**:

- Essential:_
- Knowledge and understanding of payroll processes and procedures, particularly those relating to the BACS process and company pension schemes.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Detailed and practical knowledge of statutory legislation pertinent to Income Tax (PAYE), National Insurance, SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP and Salary sacrifice, Benefits in Kind and Attachment of Earning Orders.
- In depth knowledge of payroll processing including month end and year end activities.
- Desirable:_
- A good understanding of external Payroll/Shared Services developments
- A good understanding of managing payroll in a diverse organisation.
- Proven experience of managing complex, high volume pay processes in an efficient and effective manner.
