**Behaviour Support Assistant - (Classroom based)**
**Littlehampton**
**Monday - Friday**
**08:30am - 03:30pm**
**£85.02 - £95.02 daily**
Masterclass are working with a superb secondary school in the Littlehampton area. The students have a background of SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health). They require additional support with individual learning plans to ensure they remain engaged with the current curriculum. The school is situated a short walk from the train station and on popular bus routes, if needed.
Do you have experience working with challenging behaviour? Personal experience with someone who suffers with Social, emotional mental health? Or want to have a rewarding role, making a difference in a child’s life?

**Patience**: Someone who can work with students who may have diverse learning needs and require extra time to grasp concepts.
**Empathy**: Someone who can understand and be sensitive to the individual needs and circumstances of each student.

**Flexibility**: Show willingness to take on a variety of tasks as needed, from administrative duties to direct student support.

**Enthusiasm**: Display a genuine interest in education and enthusiasm for helping students succeed.
**Positive Attitude**: Maintain a positive outlook, which can be infectious and help create a supportive learning environment.
**4) Classroom Management Skills**:
**Behaviour Management**: Assist in maintaining discipline and managing student behaviour in a positive and constructive manner.
**Engagement Techniques**: Use strategies to keep students engaged and focused during lessons.
**5) Problem-Solving Abilities**:
**Initiative**: Take proactive steps to identify and address issues or challenges as they arise.
**Creativity**: Find innovative solutions to support student learning and engagement.
**6) Emotional Resilience**:
**Stress Management**: Handle stressful situations calmly and maintaining emotional stability.
**Support Networks**: Utilise professional and personal support networks to stay resilient and effective in the role.
**Must have**:
- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
- A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
- Holds GCSE’S in Maths & English grade A*-C 4-9 or equivalent
- Resilience to deal with challenging situations
