Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Intervention Learning Support Assistant to work closely with secondary students aged 11 to 16 years who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, additional learning needs, and display challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:- Targeted Interventions: Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group sessions that focus on emotional regulation, social skills, and academic progress.
- Supporting Students: Build positive, trusting relationships to support students in accessing learning, overcoming barriers, and achieving their potential.
- Behaviour Management: Implement effective strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviour and support students in developing self-regulation and resilience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals to develop and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Promote Engagement: Foster an inclusive and supportive environment where students feel safe and motivated to engage in lessons and interventions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to reports and reviews to support their development.
