Support Worker

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our School Transport team, providing safe and reliable transport for vulnerable adults and school children with special needs.
Salary Range: £12.26 - £13.95 per hour, including annual leave in hourly pay.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Support Worker - Passenger Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transport of passengers, providing a secure and happy environment during transit, and assisting with tasks such as fastening seat belts and securing equipment.
- Interpreting situations and events to solve problems concerning passenger wellbeing or journey smoothness.
- Ensuring passengers are properly seated and equipment is securely stowed.
- Working collaboratively with drivers and other passenger assistants.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with adults and children with special needs.
- High levels of patience and sensitivity for dealing with medical or behavioural needs.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Able to understand and communicate in basic non-verbal signals.
