**Location**: Polaris House, Swindon, Wiltshire.

**Purpose of role**

The SHARP Programme will modernise and harmonise Finance, HR, Payroll, Reporting and Procurement services across UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and UK Shared Business Services (UK SBS) with efficient, seamless, integrated end-to-end processes and a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The SHARP Programme is a key part of the Reforming Our Business portfolio’s drive to reduce bureaucracy and help make UKRI better connected and integrated.

As well as supporting the Finance Workstream Leads on delivering and managing clear programme objectives, they will work closely with the business to identify, document and develop Finance processes, understanding all interactions across these activities and champion the adoption of a new system.

As an ambassador for SHARP this role will be pivotal in business change, driving harmonisation, solving problems in the interest of both UKRI, UK SBS and the programme, answering queries/alleviating fears and facilitating Finance workshops and training across all functional areas.

**Key responsiblities**
- Work with Finance colleagues across all UKRI organisations and UK SBS in the development of best practice procedures and supporting reporting harmonisation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the Finance community through effective engagement.
- Provide specialist advice in developing new ways of working to facilitate harmonisation and standardisation of Financial processes.
- Working with Functional Delivery Leads, Business Analysts, Business Process Owners, Business Change Manager, and the Implementation Partner to identify gaps and fully document business processes and requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate/lead a range of activities which will involve information gathering, convening workshops, and liaising with a wide range of Finance collaborators, including documenting outputs of these activities.
- Identify difficulties faced by Finance colleagues in their daily Finance operations
- Be a key contributor to the programme Blueprint Design documentation (mapping and documenting end to end “As-IS” processes and defining “To-Be” design principles and high-level processes).
- Support cross-delivery lead activities e.g. functional delivery areas, data migration and its associated activities, business change etc.
- Leading large groups of users to design, showcase and implement the solution, with its associated business process harmonisation and people change.
- Facilitating change management within Finance and answering queries/alleviating fears.
- Identifying potential threats and hurdles, informing their Workstream Lead, Functional Delivery Lead and/or the Business Change Manager in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the successful implementation of SHARP within Finance.
- Provide local expertise and support post go-live to support local users and embed best practice locally.
- Adopt a continuous improvement approach in all activity.
- Deputise for the Senior Workstream Lead as needed

**Qualifications/Skills/Experience required**

**Education**:

- Recognised Finance/Accounting qualification

**Relevant Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Experienced in a range of Finance areas and expertise in one or more areas
- Oracle/Workday or other large ERP Finance system experience
- Experience of working within the Finance department of a large corporation or government body

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience as a Finance Business Partner
- Previous experience/participation in significant departmental change.
