Job Summary:
A Montessori childminding assistant works with a registered childminder to provide childcare for children between the ages of 1-5 years in the childminder's home. The assistant is responsible for helping the childminder to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children, as well as for providing them with basic care needs such as food, toileting, and naps.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist the childminder in providing safe, secure, and nurturing childcare for children of all ages
- Play with and supervise children
- Prepare and serve and snacks
- Assist children with personal hygiene, dressing, and toileting
- Follow the childminder's instructions and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality for staff and children

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Warm and caring personality
- Genuine love of children
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills

All childminding assistants in the UK are required to have an enhanced DBS check with barred lists. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in their care.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in childcare
- Relevant childcare qualifications, such as a NVQ Level 2 in Early Years Care and Education
- Montessori Training
