**Role overview**

The SEND PFA Lead will provide support to the Head of SEND and Inclusion and SEND Team Manager in managing and developing the functions relating to preparation for adulthood and transitions at all stages for children and young people with SEND.

**Key responsibilities**
- To lead on departmental and service communications with the SEND Partnership and stakeholders.
- To lead on the SEND statutory functions relating to preparation for adulthood and transition at all stages for children and young people with SEND.
- To manage complex cases where a child or young person with SEND is undergoing an Education Health and Care Plan Needs Assessment or has an Education, Health and Care Plan.

**Key Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
The ability and experience to analyse and interpret data and present it effectively to various audiences to inform decision-making.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise and support managers, with confidence to challenge where appropriate based on evidence.

Excellent organisational and negotiation skills will be needed to develop and manage all aspects of SEND transitions, statutory requirements and supporting a multi-agency approach to preparation for adulthood; ensuring managers have access to appropriate and timely information about their service and Oldham.
