**Job description**
- An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the University of Winchester’s Student Housing team in the role of Allocations and Systems Officer. Our friendly, helpful Student Housing Services Team delivers an inclusive housing service to all students attending the University together with information and signposting to staff and visitors. The Team provides an efficient and timely service offering a wealth of in-depth advice, information and experience to students to enable them to make the choices most suitable to their housing needs and to make the most of their time in residences. We also aim to develop the life skills students will need to negotiate the housing market in the future as young professionals.
- Your daily work will include primary responsibility for room allocations, oversight and development of use of IT based Housing systems, maintaining & maximising occupancy, updating and development of the Housing pages on the University website & Intranet and other marketing responsibilities and continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
- You will have excellent customer service and IT abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills and a logical, common sense and practical approach. You will be a team player, able to perform at your best in a busy and sometimes pressurised environment and able to act with sensitivity and discretion. Some knowledge of higher education would be advantageous.
