My client, a southeast London local authority, seek an experienced Facilities Manager (Hard Services) to start this ongoing temp booking asap.

Main purpose of the job:
Responsible as section head for the management and delivery of Facilities Management Hard Services (planned, reactive and projects) across a wide council portfolio. Provide management cover in the absence of other Facilities Managers including but not limitedto Soft Services and Head of Facilities Management.

Ensure services are managed to provide a suitable service whilst providing best value. Continually look for new opportunities to reduce costs whilst improving services.

Manage FM hard services procurement and other commercial processes to enable the contracts and services to deliver the required outcomes.

Responsible for the management, control and development of the FM contracts and in-house maintenance team ensuring best value and statutory compliance. Monitor and ensure that positive trends are delivered against the agreed KPIs.

Responsible for FM Hard services building compliance. This excludes items that are managed by the Councils CH&S section Lead on FM managed buildings and assets.

Support and promote the councils environmental policy and energy reduction. Work closely with other partners and departments ensuring best outcomes for the Council. To be an active part of the LBL wider Facilities Management team

Must have clear evidence of operated within a similar role
Likely to have an engineering background, qualification
Ability to manage service deliver/contracts
Good understanding of CAFM systems
Must be able to support a new team

Day Rates option will be considered so please advise on CV your expected rate.
