We are currently recruiting on behalf of a housing provider in Lewisham for a temporary independent living officer on a temporary basis until the end of March.

The independent Living Officer will ensure that effective, customer focused housing management services are provided to older tenants in the borough living in sheltered housing schemes, so that they are able to sustain their tenancies.
The Independent Living Officer will provide advice to tenants that promotes individual independence, opportunities, choice and dignity, and to work collaboratively with internal and external partners to achieve this. And will liaise with other agencies, organisations,teams and the tenants’ associations to promote social activities and optimum use of communal facilities.

Experience required:
Experience of successfully managing challenging customers and service users
Experience within Housing ideally working with older people
Able to collaboratively and effectively to identify and solve problems and seek or supply advice and assistance.
Understanding of Social Housing management and related support.

A fully enhanced DBS is required
