**Background**:
The School of Health Sciences has an excellent record of multi-disciplinary applied health research with high impact. We have an opportunity for a Research Assistant to work with Professor Rose McCabe an exciting NIHR funded programme grant: Improving outcomes in patients who self-harm - Adapting and evaluating a brief psychological intervention in Emergency Departments (ASsuRED).

**Responsibilities**:
The Research Assistant will work directly with the programme lead, Prof Rose McCabe and Dr Sally O’Keeffe, programme manager, in the School for Health Sciences, City, University of London. They will contribute to a trial of a brief psychological intervention for people who present to Emergency Departments having self-harmed. The post will be based at City, University of London. The role will involve recruiting patients at participating Emergency Departments, obtaining consent and collecting outcome data.
