We have a really exciting opportunity for a **L&D Business Partner **to join a first in class L&D team. You will be responsible for setting the strategy, planning and implementing L&D programmes for British Gas Energy (BGE).

You will work collaboratively across business functions, HR and L&D to identify and analyse learning needs and develop appropriate plans aligned with the broader people plans. Providing both in year and multiyear thinking aligned to business strategy and be the point of contact for business when it comes to identifying, delivering and measuring learning initiatives.

**What you’ll be doing**

The role holder will be responsible for the overall management of the British Gas Energy (BGE) learning offering, including:

- Partnering with senior business leaders, SLT (Senior Leadership Team) including CLT (Centrica Leadership Team), and HR Partners to identify learning needs and defining BGE development plans. Leveraging best fit internal and external learning solutions supporting BGE colleagues to perform at their best
- Partnering with external organisations to provide complex learning solutions that meets the need of our BGE colleagues, being the decision maker around the right strategical partner
- Promoting the Centrica learning offering to BGE colleagues, building and implementing a strategy in moving the business to more scalable learning programmes and increasing the appetite and skills to self-learn
- Overall management of the learning request process, including the adhoc business requests for learning, implementing simple solutions to help people access learning that is right for them, supporting personal development and performance improvement of Centrica colleagues
- Manages, investigates, and resolves all unauthorised learning spend from across the business
- Working closely with the Design Team Managers and the Capability Manager to ensure work is delivered to time and budget and in accordance with the company wide capability and competence framework
- Oversight and management of all BGE large scale learning programmes, including programme planning, administration and roll out
- Providing detail data and insight on learner progression through programmes to business leaders, holding them to account for the learning of their people
- Working with the business and other Development Solutions teams to make learning programmes easily accessible for everyone
- Providing meaningful learner insight feedback to the different Development Solutions and Delivery Teams about programme effectiveness and enhancements, improving the Centrica learning offering

**What we’re looking for**
- Several years’ experience of L&D Partnering, ideally within **contact centres**
- Deep understanding of the L&D solutions lifecycle within a matrix L&D operation
- Understands the depth and breadth of L&D, from design, delivery and strategic thinking
- Demonstrable experience in working with and successfully influencing senior stakeholders within and outside of HR
- Key Project Management skills to bring the right people together to deliver L&D plans, ensuring key activities are carried out by both Business Unit (BU) and L&D
- Demonstrable experience in the management and implementation of large and complex projects
- Successful record of operating commercially and executing plans effectively
- Proven track record of translating vision, innovative strategies and business requirements into clear, actionable goals
- Operational background experience and strong influencing skills
- L&D contact centre experience highly desirable
