**Cornwall has a long tradition of being a welcoming County and a place of sanctuary. This has been seen again with the humanitarian response to the war in Ukraine; with 350 sponsors coming forward to host children and families in their homes.**
**In addition, Cornwall Council is committed to supporting refugees from Afghanistan, Syria and other global nations fleeing from persecution, war, famine and climate disasters.**
To assist in meeting those commitments a wider team is being established, able to work across all the areas of resettlement and migration.
We are looking for **Project Support Officer **to join this new developing team. This is a busy post with a primarily administrative function in managing communications with the Public both electronic and verbal, facilitating events, providing information in a range of formats and signposting. The post will be creating new electronic system structures and templates; enabling the team to work efficiently whilst providing good customer service. The ability to manage raw data and effectively manipulate for reporting is essential. The post holder will be expected to work to tight deadlines and effectively prioritise different demands. You need to have excellent administrative skills, must have the ability to organise your own workload, a valid driving license to attend events Countywide and carry out tasks autonomously with mínimal supervision.
Training will be provided in regards to refugee issues and Home Office policies.
The post is a hybrid of working from home and regular meetings within both local offices and the community.
