Milestone Infrastructure is the UKs leading highways maintenance provider looking after 48,000 km of roads, 300,000 lighting assets and 20,000 miles of footways, always with a view to ensuring that all works are carried out as sustainably as possible and with mínimal impact to local communities.

Our highways team in Wiltshire are looking to recruit several highways operatives to work at our depots in Melksham, Chippenham and Wilton.

Our Highways team keep communities moving. Join them to help construct and maintain roads in a role that’s ideal for anyone that enjoys manual outdoor work, is looking to develop their skills and be trained to help leave your mark on the communities in which we work.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Work as part of a team undertaking highways repairs, ranging from potholes, patching, drainage, footways and general highway maintenance.
- Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.
- Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for the for the day to day tasks set.
- Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge.
- Where appropriate provide direction/supervision of the work to less experienced operatives.
- Undertake winter and emergency maintenance out of hours activities on a standby rota.

**Essential Skills**:

- Clean driving License
- A commitment to Health and Safety
- Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy
- Ability to undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weathers.
- CSCS Card

**Desirable**:

- Highways experience
- New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) Operative Accreditation
- Lantra 12d
