Finance and Corporate Services (F&CS) is one of six teams within DBS. The role of DBS F&CS Business Support is to provide efficient and effective business management support across the Finance and Corporate Services Team, including to the F&CS Head and Deputy Heads, to ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day business.

DBS F&CS Business Support sits within the Customer Satisfaction and Insight area of the F&CS Team within DBS.

The job is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
DBS F&CS Business Support is the primary contact for business management in F&CS, advising on and responsible for delivering F&CS core business processes such as:

- In Year Rewards process: collating nominations monthly, maintaining the IYR log, providing advice to line managers and CSO, ensuring nominations are acted on promptly and accurately, chasing where necessary, and arranging for staff to receive notification of their awards.
- Vacancy approvals for F&CS: arranging vacancy approvals, providing advice and undertaking assurance checks to ensure compliance against MOD/DBS policy. Monitoring progress of recruitment activity to ensure accurate workforce forecasting.

You will be responsible for preparing the monthly Deputy Head meeting pack and playing a key role in the smooth delivery of that meeting. You will be expected to attend/represent F&CS at other meetings and this may include taking/progressing actions, minute taking and/or feeding back to F&CS Leadership/all F&CS staff as necessary.

Acting as the Team People Lead, you will be responsible for cascading or acting on People news/issues, such as Required Learning compliance, and other key projects and programmes within DBS and MOD. You will be expected to coordinate Finance and Corporate Services responses to business related issues as required.

Working with F&CS Finance Business Partner and colleagues, you will play a part in the monthly workforce forecasts, ensuring that the forecast is accurate and that the team remains within Workforce Control Total (WCT) and attrition limits. You will support F&CS in the delivery of its succession and capability planning ambitions.

You will build relationships with colleagues across F&CS and DBS, at all grades, remaining well-informed of upcoming policy/process changes, news and issues affecting F&CS staff.

You will support the DBS Satisfaction and Stakeholder Manager in the collation and maintenance of the DBS Senior Stakeholder List.

Management of the Team SharePoint and Teams site structures and maintenance of the F&CS team organisation chart and distribution lists.

Support in the creation and implementation of the F&CS Action Plans, such as the People Survey Action Plan.

You may be expected to step in to support in the delivery of F&CS objectives and core business as directed by the Customer Satisfaction and Insight Assistant Head, Deputy Head of Corporate Services or Head of F&CS.
