**Job Purpose**

**Summary**

Working within a small finance team, that has multiple projects planned over the next 3 months, until permanent recruitment to the vacant post completed.

**Responsibilities**:
The main duties and responsibilities of the post holder will be as follows.
- Supporting the Financial Controller on detailed analysis to prepare the monthly management accounts including variances analysis to Budget and prior year.
- Supervising the Finance Support Officer who is responsible for receivables and payables.
- Bank reconciliations and cashflow forecasts.

Support the Financial Controller at month end on a variety of tasks and reconciliations.
Support year-end and with audit enquiries.
Assist with preparation of service budgets, including meeting with budget holders and comparing financial allocations with HR and activity data.
Responsible for managing and running the in-house Sage-50 payroll.
Assist with accounting tasks relating to the organisation’s new commercial venture.
Engaging with the system development project looking at new or enhanced financial reporting.
Can work flexibility with changing priorities, under pressure and to tight time scales.
