Personal Funeral Advisor

Jennifer Ashe & Son Funeral Directors are well-established, family-owned funeral directors with multiple funeral homes across the region.
It is important to note that this role would predominantly be a 'lone worker' role. Although there will be interaction with other team members and clients throughout the day there will be occasions where you will be working alone.
Duties and skills are to include, but not limited to:
- Managing and organising funeral arrangements and administration with utmost care and compassion.
- Coordinating with other branches and the head office.
- Handling at need, and pre-paid funeral arrangements with clients/funeral directors.
- Handling Stonemasonry orders and enquiries in connection with our stone masonry department.
- Using the Funeral Manager software system
- Dealing with clients' needs/wishes.
- Liaising with clients, crematoria, ministers, funeral director and clients.
- Arranging collection of cremated remains.
- Assisting with the movement of deceased in and around the premises.
- Supporting clients when they visit the Chapel of Rest
- Assisting Doctors to view deceased persons whilst completing cremation paperwork.
- Maintaining the appearance of the reception, public rooms, kitchen area and toilet.
- Must have excellent customer service skills, be smartly presented, well organised, proactive and be able to work on your own, or within a team environment.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills and PC literate, articulate with an attention to detail
- Must be willing to build relationships with the local community as well as our clients and prospective new ones.
- Uniforms will be provided.
- Must be able to drive and access their own vehicle. (Fuel will be paid for when visiting clients/other branches if required)
- Our service must, at all times, be first class and the care and consideration of our clients’ needs and requirements is of the utmost importance.
Hours of work;
We have 1 position available;
Monday - Friday 10:00am - 4:00pm

**Salary**: £11.00-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
