**About the role: Counselling Tutor**

Activate Learning is currently seeking qualified Counsellors to join our team as Co-tutors for our Level 4 Counselling course on a part-time basis. This role involves supporting the Core Tutor in delivering a well-established counselling training programme.

We offer both casual and fixed-term contracts, with an hourly rate of up to £34.50 depending on qualifications and experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a successful and dynamic counselling team.

**What do you need to be a successful Counselling Tutor at Activate Learning?**

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our learners and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work.
- Have a therapeutic counselling qualification at level 4 or above
- Be a member of a professional association for counselling
- Be a current practitioner with supervised counselling practice
- Have a supervision qualification or experience of supervising groups or individuals in a counselling setting.
- Have evidence of completing 30 hours per year CPD activities
- Have a teaching qualification or be willing to complete a teaching qualification
- Have experience of teaching and assessing at level 2 or above

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
