Role and Responsibilities

Purpose of the role;

Reporting to the Head of Product Management, the Senior Product Manager - Cooking will be responsible this key strategic product area and will be the driving force in achieving strong growth targets and commercial objectives for the category. You will take the responsibility for developing the strategy, plan and perfectly implementing within key strategic categories such as Oven, Hobs & Hoods for both in life products and new product introductions. You will also be responsible for the management on the Junior PM within the Cooking Team.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Home Appliance leadership teams in UK, Europe & HQ offices to understand the requirements for the category & define the optimal product selection.- Take full accountability for the relevant categories P&L, with ownership of budget and revenue targets for relevant categories.- Develop, build and then implement the relevant UK Category strategy to achieve the monthly revenue, profit & market share targets of the category.- Work closely with the wider Samsung Home appliance team (Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain) as well as build strong relationships with External Customers to ensure delivery of sales targets.- Complete weekly demand forecast for the category with our Supply chain colleagues & set the monthly business plans for the category with our finance colleagues.- Analyse Weekly sell-out figures, market competition and sales channels weekly to ensure on track performance of the topline plan, making creative suggestions to ensure achievement.- For new product launches, Build and lead the launch plan by driving the stakeholders to ensure effective on time launches.

- Experience of handling large quantities of data to make complicated decisions- Ability to break complex problems down into simple, meaningful solutions applied with creative thinking- Self-motivator and self-starter- Outstanding communications skills comfortable presenting at all levels- Excellent attention to detail- Flexible & adaptable with ability to work in cross functional teams in a changing environment across multiple project- Ability to make decisions with full understanding of impacts and wider business trade offs

What does success look like?- Ability to make this role your own with proactive leadership.- High level commercial foresight with either Product manager or category manager experience- Advanced data-handling capability with strong analytical abilities.- Well-developed creative problem solving skills- The ability to deliver excellence in collaboration with others.- Tenacity and Resilience in a fast paced environment

Success in the first 3 months will look like:
- Understanding of Cooking Strategy & Build on plans to achieve targets- Full immersion in and understanding of key Samsung processes and systems- Positive relationships built within the product management team and wider DA community- Improved promotional and commercial simulation analysis and accuracy- Achieving efficiency of the product line - Volume / Value per SKU- Implementation and profitability of the promotional plan

Success will be measured by:
- Development of Technical expertise (or the capability to develop this quickly)- Meeting quarterly and yearly targets for Volume, Revenue, Profit, Net Dealer Price and Mix- Market share and ASP of categories provided by GFK- Accuracy of commercial forecasts accompanied by Quality, reliable reporting- Well-developed Creative Problem Solving skills
