**About the role - you will**:
**Responsibilities**:
1.** Labor Relations**:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with labor unions, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, resolving disputes, and promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for union representatives, addressing grievances, and facilitating communication between management and employees.

2. **Strategic Leadership**:

- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and values.
- Collaborate with senior management to drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention initiatives.
- Provide guidance on organizational development, change management, and employee engagement.

3. **Policy Development and Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with employment laws, union agreements, and industry regulations.
- Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Monitor legal developments and adapt practices accordingly.

4. **Employee Relations**:

- Promote a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, fostering open communication, and mediating conflicts.
- Implement programs to enhance employee morale, well-being, and work-life balance.

5.** Performance Management**:

- Oversee performance appraisal processes, goal setting, and career development.
- Collaborate with managers to address performance issues and implement corrective actions.

6. **Training and Development**:

- Identify training needs and design programs to enhance employee skills.
- Support union members’ professional growth through training opportunities.

7.** Compensation and Benefits**:

- Work closely with labor unions to negotiate fair compensation packages.
- Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

8. **Health and Safety**:

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with unions to create a safe working environment and address safety concerns.

9. **Employee Engagement and Communication**:

- Develop internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Encourage participation in union activities and initiatives.

10. **Budget Management**:

- Manage HR budgets, including labor costs, training expenses, and benefits.
- Optimize resources while maintaining employee satisfaction.

**About you**:

- Minimum of 6+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with a focus on labor and union relations, preferably in a manufacturing, or unionized environment.
- CIPD certification or equivalent is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, and collective bargaining.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating and implementing collective bargaining agreements.
- Experience in a global manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

- Excellent understanding of Northern Ireland labor laws and regulations.
