**Responsibilities**:
**What you’ll be doing**
- Collaborate with first-line departments to implement NHBC’s operational risk management approach and maintain dynamic risk profiles.
- Provide oversight and resolution for identified operational risk incidents, ensuring timely escalation and appropriate remediation actions.
- Lead assurance activities to enhance operational resilience across NHBC's people, processes, technology, data, facilities, and supply chain.
- Educate stakeholders on operational risk management practices and ensure compliance with risk management policy framework.
- Coordinate risk monitoring and reporting activities to various committees, contributing to informed decision-making and risk mitigation strategies.
- Experienced in operational risk management from a First or Second Line of Defence perspective.
- Previous risk management experience gained with general insurance or within the financial services sector, construction sector or another industry with a strong risk management ethos.
- Experience in developing and testing operational risk scenarios.
- Knowledge of risk management tools and disciplines.
- Good understanding and working knowledge of risk and control practices and techniques for operational risk.

**Education and Qualifications**
- Risk management qualification or working towards operational risk certification.
